The Animal Man

The Animal Man is your Zoo in Woodbourne, Staffordshire. We aim to provide an extremely enjoyable learning experience for the pupils of your school, providing them with the chance to interact with animals from different parts of the world. We can cater for both primary schools right up to year 11 pupils on a range of species and environmental subjects, covering many areas of the curriculum including Science, Geography, English, Art and Drama. Our staffs have many years' experience working in school environments and are exceptional animal handlers. All our staff is CRB checked. View our NHLS Risk Assessment here. Prior to the school visit inform us of which from specific habitats which will best relate to the work you are doing at present. Our visit can then be built into teachers planning so that maximum learning outcome can be achieved from the visit. The early learning goals can be addressed using animals as a stimulus. During the school visit teachers need to decide how they would best want to make use of the visiting lecturer, as a presentation to a large group of pupils the visitor to work with a year group or class relating the visit to a particular piece of work or topic. Our birthday parties are great fun for all ages. We come to you with a wide range of animals to entertain, amaze and educate your children. Our animals create a memorable day for your children whilst giving them the opportunity to socialize and meet a number of new animal friends.
