St. Joseph College Seminary Company Information
General information
St. Joseph College Seminary is a collaboration of the Diocese of Charlotte with Belmont Abbey College for the formation of college-age young men preparing for the priesthood.
Established on the feast of St. Joseph, March 19, 2016, the college seminary launched with eight young men temporarily residing in community at St. Joseph Monastery (its maximum capacity) located on the campus of St. Ann Catholic Church in Charlotte.
Many more young men are seeking to apply. To meet the exploding growth of vocations to the priesthood in our diocese (a fruit of much prayer), St. Joseph College Seminary has initiated development plans to build a larger, permanent structure in one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, with an exploding Catholic population.
