American Heritage Trees

American Heritage Trees is a national 501(c)(3) organization that promotes educational and environmental development by providing saplings of trees from important places throughout the United States that can be purchased by individuals, schools, or organizations. Each tree has a story describing the historical significance behind each tree. As the centerpiece of its successes, AHT supports partnerships involving other nonprofit organizations, industry, and academia.

American Heritage Trees purpose is to remember historical sites, people, and events by propagating a living tree from seeds or cuttings of the original tree. American Heritage Trees nursery provides saplings of trees from important places throughout the United States. Therefore, these organizations that own and care for the parent tree – Our Partners – are the center piece of American Heritage Trees. American Heritage Trees works closely with each organization to gather seeds and cuttings from the parent tree, ensuring its authenticity to the original tree. American Heritage Trees then propagates these seeds and cuttings and offers the saplings for purchase by individuals, schools, or organizations for their yard or garden.
