Morgan Mellette is one of only 5 in the Southeast that has both an MAI designation and is a registered forester. He has served Georgia, South Carolina, and the southern U.S. through a wide variety of forest management and timberland appraisal services.

MAI DESIGNATION

Mellette's MAI designation means that Mellette Forestry Group, LLC places the utmost importance on ethics and integrity in the appraisal profession. Requirements for MAI designation go above and beyond the state and federal requirements for appraisers.

REGISTERED FORESTER

As a registered forester, Mellette's 35 years as a consulting forester enhances his ability to provide credible caluations of large tracts of land. As a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, Mellette maintains a level of continuing education on many forestry-related topics, sustaining a long-term vision for forests and being highly knowledgeable of trends and new developments in the forestry industry.

CONSERVATION EASEMENT APPRAISAL

Additionally, Mellette has experience in conservation easement appraisals, not only conducting well-supported appraisals, but also teaching classes through the UGA Warnell School of Forestry Continuing Education Classes and performing conservation easement appraisal reviews for the Georgia State Properties Commission.
