NAVER Corporation is Korea’s premier Internet company, operating the nation’s top search portal “Naver” (www.naver.com), Korea’s first online children’s portal “Jr. Naver” (jr.naver.com), and the nation’s first online donation portal “Happybean” (happybean.naver.com).

On 2004, NAVER launched NAVER WEBTOON (WEB+CARTOON) where everyone can enjoy various webtoons for free on the web and mobile. Currently, there are more than 6.2 million daily users and an average of 17 million unique monthly users is actually using the NAVER WEBTOON in Korea. According to KT’s research arm DIGIECO, one of the major economics research institutes in Korea, forecasted that Korea’s webtoon market will increase to 300 billion won ($295 million) in 2015, compared to 100 billion won ($98.5 million) in 2012 and 210 billion won ($268 million) in 2014. As the webtoon market grows, NAVER initiated its service in other countries and we call the service as LINE WEBTOON.
