This is the official Facebook page for the West Virginia Division of Corrections (WVDOC). The page was created as an additional outlet to disseminate information regarding our agency and the field of corrections, including WVDOC jobs, news and important information.

Representatives of the State of West Virginia Executive Branch communicate via this website. Consequestly, any communication via this site, whether by a State employee or the general public, may be subject to monitoring and disclosure to third parties. Appropriate discretion should be exercised at all times. This site is not appropriate for individuals to discuss specific protected health information or legal issues, because of the lack of confidentiality/privacy.

That being said, we welcome your comments and conversations. Your comments and participation are integral to our community involvement. There are many ways to be involved with WVDOC -- "like" our page, share our stories and job postings, share our page with friends. You are, as stated above, responsible for your comments and conduct, and all comments posted here become part of the public domain. All WVDOC employees who post are held to all applicable WVDOC and State of WV policies and procedures.

When commenting, please keep it clean, respectful, truthful and on topic. Please show respect for our state, our agency, our employees, our offenders and crime victims. We reserve the right to delete any comments that are violent, profane, hateful, threatening, untruthful or unsupported or are off-topic, as well as comments that solicit, advertise or endorse any financial, commerical or non-governmental agency; that suggest or encourage any illegal activities; or that endorse any political parties, candidates or groups.
