General information

Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK) is a general aviation reliever airport conveniently located outside the DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA). Maryland’s newest towered facility offers a full-service FBO, three flight schools, precision approach capability, opportunities for future development, and is home to the world’s most influential general aviation organization - the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Interstate access just minutes from the ramp can take you into the heart of Baltimore or Washington DC via I-70 or I-270. The airport also has DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) approval.
