Kinderlou Inn

General information

The Kinderlou Inn, an affiliate of The Langdale Company, has a long and interesting history. The hotel was originally a Sheraton Inn franchise until 1991, when it became one of the first Comfort Inns, under Choice Hotels. It remained a Comfort Inn until 2008, when the hotel changed flags again to the Clarion Inn, which also is part of Choice Hotels International.

Over the years, the property has been host to a number of special guests. Bob Hope, the late actor/comedian, President Clinton – during his first presidential campaign and the 1990’s boy band, “The Back Street Boys”. In the 1980’s the property’s “Timber Lounge” was an evening and weekend hot spot for Valdosta.

The property has seen many changes since those times, the restaurant and lounge have been replaced by the award-winning Austin’s Steak House; and it now hosts 114 guest rooms, 4 suites, a spacious outdoor pool and deck, and an outdoor pavilion that can host up to 80 people for meetings and events. The Kinderlou Inn has a friendly and knowledgeable staff whose number one goal is to provide each guest with a “Positive stay experience”.

This facility has both Interior and Exterior Corridor Buildings to suit the differing needs of our guests, beautifully maintained and landscaped grounds, various handicap accessible and ADA approved rooms, wireless high speed internet, Business Center and Fitness Center, as well as a free newspaper and continental breakfast to wake up to and enjoy.
